President-elect of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly Dr Khalilur Rahman has reaffirmed his commitment to an open, inclusive and Member State-driven presidency.
Khalilur, also Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, met Juraj Blanár, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia; Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; and Zoran Dimitrovski, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, in New York on Wednesday.
During the meetings, the leaders discussed key priorities for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
The president-elect underscored the importance of close engagement and broad-based cooperation with all UN member states throughout the session.
The meetings formed part of Dr. Rahman's ongoing consultations with representatives of UN member states ahead of the opening of the 81st session of the General Assembly.
