Wall collapse kills two in Mirpur, injures six

Two people were killed and six others injured after a boundary wall of Mirpur College collapsed in the capital on Tuesday, police said.

The incident occurred while people were standing in line to buy subsidized essential commodities from a Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) truck.

Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Model Police Station, said the injured were taken to the hospitals for treatment.

One of the deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Nasima Begum. The identity of the other victim was not immediately known.
