Visiting US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor on Saturday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, with the two sides exchanging views on Bangladesh-US bilateral relations, expanding trade and investment, and strengthening regional cooperation.

They also discussed ways to deepen engagement between the two countries on issues of mutual interest during a meeting at 9:30am at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon, said PM's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.

The US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia arrived in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon on a three-day visit.

Sergio met Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on Thursday evening and visited the Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar on Friday.
