Sylhet Board records 58.33% SSC pass rate

The results of the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Sylhet Board were published on Monday, with a pass rate of 58.33 percent.

Sylhet Education Board Secretary Chowdhury Mamun Akbar announced the results, saying 51,957 of the 89,079 students who appeared for the examination passed.

The board said any errors or discrepancies in the results must be reported in writing to the Controller of Examinations within 30 days of publication, after which it will bear no responsibility.

Sylhet Board Controller of Examinations Professor Bilkis Yasmin, College Inspector Sheikh Md Nazrul Islam, School Inspector Abu Musa Md Tarek and others were present at the results announcement.

Earlier this day, the results of the SSC and equivalent examinations were published nationwide, with the overall pass rate falling to 62.25 percent from 68.45 percent last year. Education Minister Dr Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the results at a press briefing at the Ministry of Education around 10am.
