Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made BNP’s Acting Secretary General

Veteran politician and BNP Standing Committee Member Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been made the Acting Secretary General of the party. 

The appointment was announced in a press release issued by the party on Thursday. 

The general secretary post had fallen vacant after Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir resigned on August 13 to contest the presidential polls.

Rizvi’s appointment came soon after Fakhrul was announced as the country’s president after winning the ballot.

This nomination will be effective immediately.
