Moyeen Khan said, “We are called a cantonment party, but the Awami League killed democracy. Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman restored it.”

He said this incumbent democratic government will not hold elections like the ones held during the fallen government.

Regarding corruption, the minister said the government will not tolerate any corruption, and action will be taken against those involved in graft through the Anti-Corruption Commission, following proper process.

He said BNP does not believe in the politics of revenge, and “we want to establish a legal system”.
