Staff Correspondent

A member of the BNP Media Cell’s digital team and graphic designer, Tanim Sufiani, was relieved of all responsibilities on Monday following the publication of information on social media about his previous political activities.

The decision was announced in a notice signed by BNP Media Cell Convener Dr Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel. The notice said the decision took effect on August 24.

According to the notice, the BNP Media Cell authorities came across information on social media regarding Sufiani’s previous political activities, which they deemed contrary to professional transparency, mutual trust and the organisation’s internal policies.

In light of the matter, the authorities decided to relieve Sufiani of all responsibilities at the BNP Media Cell, including his position as a graphic designer on the digital team.

The notice further said that following his removal, Sufiani would no longer have any representation or association using the BNP Media Cell’s name, identity, position or responsibilities.

He would also have no further involvement in the internal activities of the Media Cell.
