The Election Commission (EC) kept the voter transfer window open until September 7 for voters seeking to change their registration address ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The Commission issued a letter on Wednesday outlining the schedule for submitting, issuing and disposing of applications for voter transfers due to changes in residence.
According to the letter, submitted applications must be issued by September 9, while the final date for disposing of the transfer applications is September 10.
The EC has asked the relevant authorities to take necessary steps to process and dispose of the applications according to the schedule.
Instructions in this regard have been sent to all upazilas, police stations and registration officers across the country.
