Two soldiers killed during training accident in Chattogram

Two Bangladesh Army soldiers were killed and an officer was seriously injured in an accident during a field-firing exercise in Hathazari, Chattogram, on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said.

The accident occurred at the Hathazari Field Firing Range while a tank was firing during the exercise, according to an ISPR statement.

The injured officer is being airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for advanced treatment, the statement said.

The army is taking necessary steps to determine the cause of the accident, ISPR said.
