The government has transferred 15 police officers, including deputy inspector generals (DIGs), additional DIGs and superintendents of police (SPs), in the latest reshuffle in the police administration.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications on Tuesday detailing the transfers and appointments.

According to one notification, Mohammad Enamul Haque, additional police commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, has been transferred to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari as an additional deputy inspector general.

Paritosh Ghosh, DIG of the APBn and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari, has been transferred to the APBn office in the Chattogram Hill Tracts.

Habibur Rahman Khan, DIG of the Highway Police, has been transferred as commandant of the Traffic and Driving School (TDS).

Additional DIG Anisur Rahman of the Special Branch (SB) has been transferred to the Khulna Range.

Additional DIG Gias Uddin Ahmed, who was serving as an officer on special duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been attached to the Rangpur Range.

Mohammad Jashim Uddin, a superintendent of police serving as an OSD at the Home Ministry, has been appointed SP of Rajshahi.

The ministry also appointed and transferred nine other officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Police) cadre to different positions and workplaces.

The orders will take effect soon.
