Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday met World Bank Group President Ajay Banga on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.

They discussed Bangladesh’s development priorities, economic progress and various issues of mutual interest, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The two also exchanged views on strengthening World Bank support for Bangladesh’s development efforts and exploring opportunities to expand areas of partnership in the future, the release said.
