Former chief adviser to the interim government and Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus met former British prime minister Gordon Brown at the Rockefeller Foundation in New York.

“Sir (Yunus) and he talked about the establishment of Grameen University, about which he was excited to hear,” Lamiya Morshed, executive director of the Yunus Centre, wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday.

Brown has long been associated with the Yunus Centre at Glasgow Caledonian University and attended its launch in Glasgow in 2010.

“He also knows the work of Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing (GCCN) well,” she added.
