The Department of Social Services (DSS) has directed its field-level officials to submit 100% accurate payrolls between the 20th and 25th of every month to ensure timely disbursement of allowances under the Family Card programme.

The directive was issued in a letter from the Family Card Programme of the DSS on Sunday.

According to the letter, allowances under the programme are being transferred directly to beneficiaries through the Government-to-Person (G2P) system to their mobile financial service (MFS), TakaPay and bank accounts.

Upazila and City Social Services Officers have been instructed to submit error-free payrolls for each monthly installment during the 2026-27 fiscal year so that eligible beneficiaries receive their allowances on time.

Before submitting the payrolls within the stipulated period, officials must update and correct necessary information in the Management Information System (MIS), including beneficiaries’ mobile phone and bank account numbers, the letter said.

It also instructed officials to replace beneficiaries who die or become ineligible for other reasons only after a decision by the relevant committee in accordance with existing policies.

The letter urged the authorities concerned to take all necessary measures to ensure that 100% accurate payrolls are submitted between the 20th and 25th of every month against beneficiaries’ own MFS, TakaPay and bank accounts.

Signed by DSS Director (Social Security) Md Mosharraf Hossain, the letter was sent to the directors of the divisional social services offices in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Rangpur, Barishal and Mymensingh.
