The prosecution of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Monday filed a formal charge against 19 people, including former state minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, in a crimes against humanity case over alleged atrocities carried out in the Mirpur area during the July 2024 Mass Uprising.

Confirming the matter to newsmen, prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim said the formal charge was filed with ICT-1 this morning.

The other prominent accused in the case are former lawmaker Elias Uddin Mollah and Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Islam Nikhil.
