ISPR urges caution against disinformation targeting Army, army chief

Waadaa Desk

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday urged citizens to be wary of misleading and deliberate disinformation being disseminated on various online platforms and social media concerning the Bangladesh Army and the Chief of Army Staff.

“It appears that these efforts are primarily aimed at creating confusion among the public and undermining the image of the Bangladesh Army. Everyone is respectfully requested not to be influenced by such misleading and deliberate disinformation,” an ISPR statement said.

It said the Bangladesh Army remained united at all times and was firmly committed to fulfilling its responsibilities to the country and its people.

“Everyone is urged to follow official and reliable sources of information regarding the Bangladesh Army and the Chief of Army Staff,” the statement concluded.

The statement also included photos showing instances of such disinformation.
