Students dissatisfied with their 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination results can apply for re-scrutiny of their answer scripts from Sunday (November 1).

The application window will remain open until November 7, according to the education boards. Applications must be submitted online through the designated portal at https://rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd.

To apply, students must first visit the website and enter their roll and registration numbers before selecting their respective education boards and clicking the submit button.

They will then need to provide an active mobile phone number, which will be used to notify them of the re-scrutiny results through SMS.

The portal will subsequently display their subject-wise results. Students must select the subjects for which they want their answer scripts re-examined and proceed to the payment option.

The application fee is 150 taka per paper. Students seeking re-scrutiny of a subject with two papers must apply for both. The total payable amount will be displayed after selecting the subjects.

Payments can be made through bKash, Nagad, Dutch-Bangla Bank's Rocket, Upay and Sonali Seba. Detailed payment instructions are available under the 'Help' section of the application portal.

After completing the payment, students must return to the portal and click the 'Submit' button to finalise their applications.

Students can apply for additional subjects even after submitting an earlier application and paying the fees. In such cases, they will need to follow the same procedure and make the additional payment, but will not have to provide their mobile phone numbers again.

Applicants can also modify their selected subjects before making payment by using the 'Delete' option to remove subjects for which fees have not yet been paid.

However, once the fee for a particular subject has been paid, the application cannot be cancelled and the money will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The education boards have clarified that applications will be accepted exclusively through the online portal. No applications will be received in person or through manual procedures.

The 2026 HSC and equivalent examination results were published on Saturday, with a pass rate of 52.12%. A total of 40,084 students secured a GPA of 5.
