A United States Navy mine countermeasures ship, USS Warrior (MCM-10), arrived at Chattogram Port on Sunday to take part in a joint maritime exercise with the Bangladesh Navy.

The Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bangladesh 2026 exercise will run from November 2 to 6, according to a statement from the US Embassy in Dhaka.

Acting US Defense Attaché Major Carsten Fletcher welcomed the ship and its crew upon their arrival at the port on November 1.

The exercise aims to strengthen cooperation between the US and Bangladesh militaries on shared regional maritime security concerns, the statement said.

It added that CARAT Bangladesh 2026 would further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
