Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram administered the oath to them at his office in the JS Bhaban, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni and other whips were also present at the ceremony.

Parliament Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md. Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan conducted the oath-taking ceremony.

Mirza Faisal Amin, the BNP-nominated candidate for Thakurgaon-1 (Sadar-Ruhia-Bhulli), won the by-election with 227,917 votes, while his nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Delawar Hossain, secured 96,513 votes.

Eliza Jaman was elected unopposed in the by-election to reserved women's seat-23. The Election Commission declared her elected on Monday after the deadline for withdrawal of nomination papers expired.

The seat fell vacant following the resignation of BNP lawmaker Ferdousi Ahmed Misty on October 1.
