ShareTrip has signed on as title sponsor of the Monitor Airline of the Year 2026, an annual awards programme recognising airlines operating in Bangladesh.

Kazi Wahidul Alam, editor of The Bangladesh Monitor, and Sadia Haque, co-founder and CEO of ShareTrip Limited, signed a memorandum of understanding at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport on September 10.

Under the agreement, ShareTrip will support The Bangladesh Monitor in promoting the awards and organising the gala ceremony.

The ShareTrip-Monitor Airline of the Year 2026 will recognise airlines for passenger service across 27 categories, with winners determined primarily through an opinion poll of frequent air travellers.

Online voting ran from July 21 to August 25. Travellers who made at least four air trips in 2025 were eligible to vote based on their travel experiences.

A jury comprising representatives from different professional and social groups will select the winners based on the poll results. Syed Ershad Ahmed, former president of AmCham Bangladesh, chairs the jury board.

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport in November.

The Bangladesh Monitor launched Airline of the Year in 2007. It describes the programme, now in its 12th edition, as Bangladesh's only airline recognition programme and its flagship event.
