Write the history of human emancipation, not power: Capt Kibria urges global leaders

Waadaa Desk

Captain AKM Golam Kibria (CIP) urged global leaders to transcend political divides and prioritize human welfare at the 19th annual ASAAL convention in New York.

Presenting his vision for a "Human Equity Civilization," he emphasized that eradicating poverty and suffering is far more crucial than acquiring state power, a press release said.

"Leave behind a legacy where the history of human emancipation stands much more glorified than the memories of power," he stated.

The event, held at Manhattan’s historic DC 37 Main Union Hall, was attended by prominent US politicians and labor leaders, including Congress members Grace Meng and Thomas R Suozzi, and NY Attorney General Letitia James, the release added.

Capt Kibria, Chairman of MH Global Group and recipient of the Global Humanitarian Champion Award (Oxford 2025), concluded with his core philosophy: "One Humanity. One Shared Responsibility. One Civilization of Human Dignity."
