Bangladesh women’s team’s left-arm pacer Fariha Islam Trishna has been ruled out of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai, UAE and the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 with a thigh injury.
“The 23-year old has been diagnosed with a Grade II tear in the right thigh following an MRI, and will require around 4-6 weeks to recover,” the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said in a press release issued on Tuesday.
“Trishna has been replaced by 17-year old uncapped right-arm seamer Farjana Easmin,” it further read.
The Bangladesh team is set to depart for Dubai on Wednesday afternoon.
