Australia captain Sophie Molineux and all-rounder Lucy Hamilton are doubtful for their white-ball series against Bangladesh at home next month as both are nursing injuries.

Molineux has an injury to her hip joint, while Hamilton has a strain in her quadriceps, which will keep the duo away from their respective teams' games in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) – a 50-over domestic competition starting on Tuesday.

As per Cricket Australia, the squads for the ODI series against Bangladesh and a three-match T20I assignment against New Zealand are expected to be announced this week.

The three-match Women’s ODI series against Bangladesh is set to begin on October 9, leaving very little time for the duo to recover and be considered for selection.

This is set to be Bangladesh women’s team’s first-ever bilateral series in Australia against the Aussies.

The series will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship.
