Bangladesh batters Sharmin Akhter Supta and Shorna Akter have made significant gains in the latest ICC women's ODI batting rankings on Tuesday following their impressive performances in the Australia series.

Sharmin climbed five places to 25th with 561 rating points, while Shorna leapfrogged 16 places to 86th, sharing the position with West Indies batter Koena Joseph with 325 points, according to the latest rankings released on Tuesday.

Sharmin scored 50 off 93 balls in the final ODI against Australia, while Shorna contributed 54 off 71 deliveries. Even though Bangladesh lost the game by eight wickets and were swept in the three-match series, their performances helped improve their positions in the updated rankings.

Several Australian players also made gains in the women's ODI batting rankings. Ellyse Perry moved up one place to ninth, while she climbed 14 places to 25th in the ODI all-rounder rankings.

Annabelle Sutherland, who scored an unbeaten half-century in the final match, advanced four places to 13th in the ODI batting rankings.
