Bangladesh batter Mominul Haque completed 11,000 runs in first-class cricket in the morning session on Day 1 of the first Test against West Indies at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Mominul followed Tushar Imran and Naeem Islam in the elite list.

He came to the crease following the early dismissal of opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim (7), who was caught at slip off Jayden Seales.

Mominul reached the milestone in the 13th over when he ran a two with a sweep against off-spinner Roston Chase.

The veteran batter is second on Bangladesh's all-time run-scorers list in Tests with 5278 runs, behind Mushfiqur Rahim (6957), who was ruled out of the match with an index-finger injury.

After 15 overs, Bangladesh were 48-1 with Mominul unbeaten on 25 off 29 balls and Shadman Islam batting on 14 off 38.
