The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on August 10.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the Ministry of Education on Thursday.

The theoretical examinations of the SSC and equivalent examinations began on April 21 and continued until May 20.

The practical examinations were held from June 7 to June 14.

A total of 1,857,344 candidates sat for the examinations under the country's 11 education boards.

Of them, 930,305 were male and 927,039 were female.
