Waadaa Desk

Bangladeshi actor Zayed Khan will portray a Canadian police officer in Violence, a Bangla film currently being shot in Canada, with actress Shirin Shila set to star opposite him.

A photograph of Zayed circulating online prompted speculation that he had joined the Canadian police. However, further inquiry revealed that the actor is taking on the role for the film.

Filming is underway in Canada on a continuous schedule, with Zayed joining the shoot from the United States.

Directed by Kamal Hossain Babor, the action-oriented film is produced by engineer Hafizur Rahman Liton and Sabrina Chowdhury.

The film marks the first time a Bangladeshi male lead actor will portray a Canadian police officer on screen. Shooting is expected to be completed after the continuous schedule in Canada.
