A 15-member cultural troupe from Bangladesh, comprising musicians, dance and vocal artists, and representatives of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan on Friday.
Md Abdus Satter, a renowned Bangladeshi painter and printmaker, is also part of the delegation, according to a press release by the Pakistan High Commission Bangladesh.
During the visit, the artists will showcase Bangladeshi culture through performances at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Lok Virsa.
The visit has been arranged in line with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s decision to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.
As part of this initiative, a Cultural Exchange Programme was signed during Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar’s visit to Bangladesh last year.
