Fans of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor have expressed concern over his safety following reports that individuals accused of shooting at actor Tiger Shroff’s car allegedly conducted reconnaissance at Kapoor’s home in Mumbai’s Khar area.
The reports have raised concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities following the shooting incident involving Shroff. According to Anandabazar Patrika, the alleged surveillance at Kapoor’s residence has prompted fans to call for tighter security for the actor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Ramayana.
One fan wrote on social media, “There is no need for any more promotions or public appearances at this moment. His safety is the most important thing! Please arrange tight security for him.”
Another fan shared a video from a Ramayana promotional event in Chennai, claiming Kapoor had appeared worried and uncomfortable over the past three or four days.
The fan wrote that Mumbai Police had likely informed the actor about the incident in detail and expressed concern for the safety of his wife, Alia Bhatt, their daughter, Raha, and his mother.
“There's no need for more promotions, RK. Stay with your family!” the fan wrote.
Another social media user expressed similar concerns, writing that Kapoor deserved happiness and peace rather than fear, and urging people to prioritise his safety.
Kapoor has recently attended promotional events for Ramayana in cities including Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Kapoor alongside Yash and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. It is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 5 this year.
