Director Adnan Al Rajeev has cast Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury in his first full-length feature film, Opolok, marking his debut in cinema after years of working in television commercials and storytelling.

The filmmaker announced the casting in a social media post, welcoming the two actors to the project and sharing his vision for the film.

Describing Opolok as a project built on the dreams and affection of its entire team, Adnan said he hoped to make a romantic film that would connect with audiences through its simplicity and emotional depth.

“We want to make an honest, simple and heart-touching romantic film, where audiences will find themselves alongside the story of love,” he wrote.

He also expressed hope that the emotion and affection with which the team was approaching the project would resonate with viewers.

Adnan had previously announced that he would make his big-screen debut with Opolok, marking a new chapter in a career largely shaped by acclaimed television commercials and storytelling.

The director has spoken about his long-standing ambition to make a romantic feature film. His experience creating the romantic advertising series Kache Ashar Golpo also helped nurture that ambition.

The casting announcement has drawn interest, particularly as Nisho and Mehazabien have built strong followings through their work in television and films.

Further details about the film’s storyline, production schedule and release date will be announced soon.
