Bangladesh Women’s Football League champions Rajshahi Stars FC begin their preparations today for their debut appearance at the AFC Women's Champions League later this month.
The players and coaching staff paid a courtesy visit to the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Friday before starting their training today (Saturday).
They will take part in the preliminary stage of the competition which will be played in Malaysia from August 17-23.
Drawn in Group A, Rajshahi Stars will face India's East Bengal, hosts Sabah FA and Guam's Rovers FC.
Head coach of Rajshahi Stars Golam Robbani Choton said the team would enter the tournament aiming to make history.
“This is a historic opportunity for us. We want to prepare well and represent Bangladesh with a strong performance on the continental stage,” Choton said.
