The Portuguese forward announced the news himself on Instagram, posting a photograph of the couple's hands showing off matching wedding rings, a post that gathered more than three million likes within half an hour of going live.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been a couple for a decade, having first met at a Gucci store in Madrid where she was working while he was playing for Real Madrid.
