Bangladesh have been drawn in Group C alongside the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Bhutan and Macau for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers, following Thursday's draw in Kuala Lumpur.

The draw, held at the AFC House in the Malaysian capital, split 35 teams into seven groups of five. Qualifying matches will be played from November 8-20.

The UAE will host Group C, meaning Bangladesh's qualifying matches will also be played on Emirati soil.

The winners of each of the seven groups will progress directly to the main tournament, joining nine Asian teams that have already qualified — Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The AFC U-17 Asian Cup finals will be held in Uzbekistan from May 12-29 next year.

In the other qualifying groups, Group A features Indonesia, Myanmar, Afghanistan, the Philippines and Cambodia, while Group B contains Thailand, Iraq, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and the Maldives.

Group D consists of Iran, Laos, Jordan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Group E includes India, Malaysia, Palestine, Singapore and Guam, while Group F has Yemen, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and the Northern Mariana Islands. Group G is made up of Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon and Brunei Darussalam.
