Staff Correspondent

Defender Topu Barman could not take the field against Bhutan even after being named captain in the team sheet, after suffering a last-minute injury at the National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

Topu suffered an injury during the warm-up before the opening match of Group A.

In his place, coach Thomas Dooley has brought in Quazem Shah in the XI. Jamal Bhuiyan, who was replaced as captain by Topu, is leading the team in the match.

Topu had earlier missed out on the ASEAN Cup due to injury.

Meanwhile, in the absence of a proven No.9, Dooley is experimenting with right-back Bishawant Ghosh as striker against Bhutan.
