Staff Correspondent

The National Citizen Party (NCP) will launch its month-long programme marking the second anniversary of the July Mass Uprising with a march and rally in Kaliganj on Monday.

The party's Convener and Opposition Chief Whip, Nahid Islam, will lead the programme alongside other senior leaders.

A rally titled Grand Assembly of July Revolutionaries is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the Kaliganj Bus Stand.

NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Chief Organizers Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah, and leaders of the party's youth and student wings are expected to attend, according to the organizers.

Local party leaders have been making final preparations ahead of the event.

The NCP has called on people from all walks of life to join what it described as the inaugural programme of its nationwide July March, part of a month-long campaign commemorating the July Mass Uprising.
