Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has married journalist Nidhi Razdan, with the couple announcing their wedding through social media posts on Saturday.
According to The Hindu, the couple tied the knot in New Delhi on Friday, October 30, under India's Special Marriage Act, with family members from both sides serving as witnesses.
Abdullah shared photographs with Razdan on X, writing, “A new journey began yesterday”.
Razdan also posted about the wedding on social media, writing, “It’s done bro”.
The posts marked the couple's first public announcement of their marriage, drawing attention on social media.
The wedding comes three months after India's Supreme Court dissolved Abdullah's marriage to Payal Abdullah by mutual consent on July 31, 2026, according to The Economic Times.
Omar and Payal Abdullah married in September 1994 but had been living separately for several years before their marriage was legally dissolved.
Razdan is an Indian journalist known for covering politics and international affairs. She has worked as a news anchor and reported extensively on major political developments in India.
She is also the author of Left, Right and Centre: The Idea of India, a book examining India's political landscape and public life.
