Bangladesh national hockey team suffered a narrow 6-5 defeat to China’s senior national hockey team in their third preparatory match for the Asian Games 2026 at the Tuanbo Sports Center in Jinghai District, Tianjin, China on Monday.

Rocky delivered an impressive performance for Bangladesh, scoring twice. Ashraful, Amirul and Mahbub also found the net once each for Bangladesh.

As part of their Asian Games preparation, Bangladesh will play a total of five matches in China. After facing provincial teams in their first two matches, this was Bangladesh’s first test against China’s senior national team.

Despite the defeat, Bangladesh fought neck and neck in the match, providing encouraging signs ahead of the Asian Games engagement.
