Bangladesh's medal hopes in archery ended at the Asian Games 2026 when none of its recurve archers reached the individual quarterfinals on Tuesday, sending the team home from Japan empty-handed after a disappointing showing in the team events.

In the women's recurve, Shimu Akter beat Palestine's Rasha 6-0 in her opening match but lost by the same scoreline to China's Xue in the last 32. Fourteen-year-old Sayma Salauddin went one round further.

Sayma, the youngest archer in the archery competition at the Games, received a first-round bye, beat the Philippines' Tagle Naina in the last 32, then lost 6-0 to India's Anil in the last 16.

In the men's recurve, Abdur Rahman Alif beat Thailand's Thanakorn 6-0 before losing 6-2 to South Korea's Lee in the next round. Ramkrishna Saha, given a first-round bye, went out 6-2 to Kazakhstan's Dauletkeldi in his first match.
