Ukrainian strikes on a Russian Black Sea resort village and Moscow-annexed Crimea killed six people overnight, Russian-installed officials said on Monday.

Three people were killed in the resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka in Russia's Krasnodar region after debris from a downed Ukrainian drone fell on the area, Governor Venyamin Kondratyev said on Telegram.

Another 13 people, including children, were injured in what he described as an attack on civilian infrastructure.

Ukraine has regularly launched large-scale drone attacks deep inside Russia in response to Moscow's sustained aerial bombardment of Ukrainian cities using drones and missiles since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

In Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, an overnight Ukrainian strike killed three civilians, according to the Moscow-installed governor, Sergey Aksyonov.

Aksyonov did not specify where in Crimea the attack occurred or provide details about the victims.

Ukraine has stepped up strikes on the occupied peninsula in recent months, targeting military and logistical infrastructure. The attacks have contributed to electricity and fuel shortages in parts of Crimea this summer.
