Nasir Uddin withdrawn from PMO director post
Mohammad Nasir Uddin Sarwar, a director at the Prime Minister's Office, has been withdrawn from his post.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Saturday.
According to the notification, he has been withdrawn and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration as a deputy secretary.
The gazette notification stated that the officer had been attached elsewhere in the public interest, but did not specify any reason for the decision.
According to information from the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner's Office, Nasir Uddin Sarwar’s name appears among the executive magistrates who ordered the opening of fire during the students' movement.
During the previous Awami League government, he served as a protocol officer to the president and was also posted at the Ministry of Public Administration.
