UAE president thanks Bangladesh for solidarity after Iranian attacks

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has thanked Bangladesh for its solidarity with the UAE following the recent Iranian attacks on the country.

In a letter to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his sincere appreciation for Bangladesh's support during the difficult period, the UAE Embassy in Dhaka said on Thursday.

He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences over the deaths of two Bangladeshi nationals living in the UAE who were among those killed in the attacks.

The UAE president expressed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and the people of Bangladesh.

Reaffirming the UAE's commitment to further strengthening its longstanding partnership with Bangladesh, Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in the economic, development and humanitarian sectors.

He also expressed his keen interest in paying an official visit to Bangladesh at the earliest opportunity.

Welcoming Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's invitation to visit Bangladesh, Sheikh Mohamed said he looked forward to further deepening the enduring partnership between the two friendly nations.

The UAE and Bangladesh enjoy strong and multifaceted bilateral relations built on mutual respect, close friendship and a shared commitment to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
