Govt to publish SSC, equivalent exam results today

Bangladesh will publish the results of the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations at 10 a.m. on Monday, nearly three weeks later than the usual deadline.

The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced the schedule on Saturday, saying students would be able to check their results online, via SMS or through their respective educational institutions.

For SSC candidates, results can be obtained by sending an SMS to either 16140 or 16222. The number 16140 has been introduced this year as an additional option.

Students need to type “SSC,” followed by the first three letters of their education board, their roll number and the examination year.

For example, a Dhaka Board candidate can type “SSC DHA 123456 2026” and send the message to 16140.

Results will also be available through the government’s education board results websites at eduboardresults.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd.

Dakhil candidates under the Madrasa Education Board can preregister to receive their results automatically once they are published. They need to type “Dakhil MAD,” followed by their roll number and examination year, and send the message to 16222.

Candidates under the Technical Education Board can type “SSC TEC,” followed by their roll number and examination year, and send it to 16222.

Educational institutions will be able to download institution-wise result sheets from their respective board websites by entering their Educational Institute Identification Number, or EIIN.

The SSC and equivalent examinations began on April 21. Written examinations under the nine general education boards concluded on May 20, while the written portions of the Dakhil and SSC Vocational examinations ended on May 24.

Results are normally published within 60 days of the completion of written examinations. Based on that timeline, this year’s results had been expected around July 20, making Monday’s publication roughly three weeks later than usual.

More than 1.85 million students registered to sit for this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations.

Candidates can also collect their results from their respective educational institutions. The authorities said results would not be distributed from education board offices, the Education Ministry or newspaper offices.
