Moyeen Khan signs condolence book for Norway’s King Harald V
Bangladesh has expressed condolences over the death of Norway’s King Harald V, who died on August 28.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan signed a condolence book at the Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka on Monday on behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh.
Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen was present during the signing.
Moyeen Khan conveyed Bangladesh’s sympathy to the Norwegian royal family, government and people over the monarch’s death.
The Norwegian Embassy opened the condolence book to allow members of the diplomatic community and others to pay their respects.
King Harald V, Norway’s monarch since 1991, died on August 28, 2026, ending a reign of more than 35 years.
