Khalilur meets Trump on sidelines of UNGA

Foreign Minister and President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dr Khalilur Rahman exchanged greetings with US President Donald Trump in New York on the sidelines of the UNGA on.

Khalilur disclosed the interaction in a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, writing: “A personal exchange with Trump, President of the United States.”

The post included a photograph of the two leaders shaking hands. It did not provide details of their conversation.

The brief exchange took place after Trump delivered his address to the UN General Assembly.

According to Khalilur’s post, Trump thanked the Bangladesh foreign minister during the interaction.
