UNGA sidelines: PM Tarique meets Pakistani counterpart

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met his Pakistani counterpart Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday.

During the meeting, held on the 34th floor of the UN Headquarters Secretariat Building, the two leaders discussed various aspects of the bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release. 

They exchanged views regarding matters of mutual interest, regional and international situations and potential areas of cooperation.

The two Prime Ministers emphasised advancing the relationship between their countries based on mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation. 

Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining regular communication and dialogue on issues of shared interest.
