465 arrested in 24hrs drive across capital

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 465 people in its regular anti-crime operations across the capital over the past 24 hours. 

A total of 73 cases were filed during the period.

According to a DMP press release, arrests were made by different police divisions.

Ramna Division arrested 21 people while Lalbagh 55, Wari 59, Motijheel 75, Tejgaon 60, Mirpur 114, Gulshan 29, Uttara 42 and the Detective Branch (DB) 10.

During the operations, police recovered one foreign-made pistol, two magazines, eight rounds of ammunition, four knives, one steel cutter, 2,484 yaba tablets and 2 kilograms 360 grams of cannabis.

The DMP said the arrests and recoveries were made during raids conducted in various police station areas across the capital.

Further legal action against the arrested individuals is underway.
