Inter-education board dismisses viral Ctg exam schedule as 'false, motivated'

Updated on

The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee on Tuesday dismissed as "false, baseless and motivated" a notification circulating on social media claiming that examinations under the Chattogram Education Board would resume on 27 July as scheduled.

In a statement, the committee said the viral notice, purportedly issued in its name, had no connection with either the Chattogram Education Board or the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee.

"The information is completely untrue. Neither the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Chattogram nor the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee has issued any such notification," the statement said.

The committee urged examinees, guardians, teachers, heads of educational institutions and the public not to believe or share unverified information circulating on social media.

It said all official decisions, notifications and instructions relating to public examinations are published only on the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the Ministry of Education, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee and the respective education boards.

The committee also called on the public to refrain from spreading rumours and misleading information regarding the examinations.
