Mechanix co-founder Syed Imran Ahmed passes away

Former guitarist and Mechanix co-founder Syed Imran Ahmed has died after battling cancer for the past one and a half years, with the news announced on social media by Mechanix frontman Aftabuzzaman Tridib.

In a social media post, Tridib described Ahmed as a brother and asked people to remember him in their prayers.

“Syed Imran Ahmed, ex-guitarist and co-founder of Mechanix, has left us for eternity. He was struggling with cancer for the last one and a half years. I lost one of my brothers. Keep him in your prayers,” Tridib wrote.

Imran Ahmed was associated with Bangladesh’s rock music scene as a guitarist and was one of the co-founders of Mechanix.
