Hasan Masood steps into new professional role after break from acting

Actor Hasan Masood has taken a new professional direction, joining UK-based international student consultancy Zain Global as head of student acquisition and brand from September 1.

Hasan Masood was once a familiar face in dramas, advertisements and various television programmes, earning recognition for his distinctive acting style and personality. Alongside acting, he has also worked as a writer and director.

According to Zain Global, the organisation has been providing students with advice and support for overseas higher education for the past 14 years. The company aims to use Hasan Masood's professional experience and communication skills to improve engagement with students and the quality of its services.

The actor’s new role comes after he had been away from regular acting work for some time. A few months ago, reports about his illness caused concern among his fans. He later returned from performing Hajj and subsequently worked on an advertisement. Comments he made during that period sparked controversy, which he later clarified.

Against this backdrop, news of his new job has once again fuelled speculation about whether Hasan Masood is stepping further away from acting.

Hasan Masood made his film debut in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s Bachelor in 2003. He subsequently became a regular presence in television dramas.

Among his popular dramas are Housefull, FDC, Graduate, Ronger Duniya, Behind the Scene and Khunsuti. He has also worked in music, with a music album released in 2006.
