Jim Carrey marries longtime partner Min Ah

Updated on:

Actor Jim Carrey, 64, has reportedly married his longtime partner Min Ah in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, marking his third marriage.

According to US entertainment outlet TV Insider, Carrey and Min Ah recently held a private wedding in Los Angeles. The marriage has drawn attention after Carrey previously expressed doubts about marrying again.

In a 2014 interview, Carrey was asked about the possibility of remarrying. He said, “I cannot say for certain how I would feel if I met someone and was completely captivated by them. One cannot make definitive rules about the future,” while adding that he did not think he would voluntarily choose to marry again.

Little is known about Min Ah, who is also known as “Minzi”. Local media reports describe her as an actress and artist, although details about how the couple met have not been disclosed.

The pair were first spotted together in February 2022. They have since maintained a relatively private relationship and made their public debut as a couple at the 51st César Awards in Paris in February this year.

During the ceremony, Carrey introduced Min Ah on stage as his “precious partner”. She also attended the event alongside Carrey’s daughter Jane and other members of his family.

The couple’s 32-year age gap has also attracted attention. Carrey was 64 and Min Ah was 32 at the time of their reported marriage.

Carrey was previously married to Mel Lisa Warmer, whom he wed in 1987. They divorced in 1995 and have a daughter, Jane.

He married actress Lauren Holly, his co-star in ‘Dumb and Dumber’, in 1996, but the marriage ended in less than a year.

Carrey later became engaged to Renée Zellweger and had public relationships with Jennie McCarthy, Ginger Gonzaga and others, but none resulted in marriage.
