Cafe Umbrella brings four love stories to iScreen

Shihab Shaheen’s new web film Cafe Umbrella premiered exclusively on Channel i’s OTT platform iScreen on October 29, bringing together four parallel love stories centred on relationships, misunderstandings and emotional conflicts.

Presented by Lux and produced by Impress Telefilm, the film follows four couples through stories that explore the complexities of love and relationships. The separate narratives eventually converge.

The film marks the acting debut of the top three contestants of Lux Superstar 2025: Bidushi Barnita, Nazah Nawar and Amina Islam. They appear opposite Tawsif Mahbub, Partha Sheikh and Arefin Zilani, respectively.

Saidur Rahman Pavel and Sanjida Tasnim portray the fourth couple, while actors Saberi Alam and Shirin Alam also appear in important roles.

Written and directed by Shaheen, Cafe Umbrella also involved a special acting workshop for the newcomers ahead of filming.
